What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions.

The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it.

Microdermabrasion is considered a safe procedure for most skin types and colours. People might choose to get the procedure if they have the following skin concerns:

• fine lines and wrinkles

• hyperpigmentation, age spots and brown spots

What can I expect after my first microdermabrasion?

Common side effects of microdermabrasion include mild tenderness, swelling, and redness. These generally go away within a few hours after treatment. You might be advised to use a moisturizer to minimize dry and flaky skin. Minor bruising may also occur.  Extremely important to use SPF after any treatment!!!

Is Microneedling better than microdermabrasion?

It is suitable for most skin types, but not all. Microneedling, however, is different then a superficial Microdermabrasion treatment and provides much more benefit, because it reaches below the skin surface. The procedure creates many microscopic punctures in the skin's outer layers.

 

Is Microneedling really effective?

It's considered effective in treating minor scarring related to acne, wounds, and aging. You'll likely notice brighter, firmer skin, too. Ideal results are achieved after multiple sessions. Microneedling is far more effective than at-home rollers.

 

How long does it take for Microneedling to work?

While some results may be almost immediate, your best results usually won't be visible until four to six weeks after the procedure.

 

How many Microneedling sessions do you need to see results?

Effects of treatment may vary, but some may need 4-6 sessions over several months to obtain the desired results, while others may be happy after one to two.

HiFu Non-Surgical Face Lift  $180

What is the HiFu Non-Surgical Face Lift?

This is a high intensity focused ultrasound that is non-invasive.  It is used to tighten the skin and encourages collagen production by targeting the deeper layers of the skin.  This is a powerful treatment that is a safe alternative to surgical face lifts.  

 

What are the benefits?
Some of the benefits of HiFu treatment include wrinkle reduction, tightening of sagging skin, lifting of cheeks and brows, enhancing jawline definition, and smoothing skin.

Essentially no down time, in some cases there will be minimal swelling lasting few days.
Treatment is not recommended for clients with open skin lesions, cystic acne or metal implants in target area.

Avoid treatments like botox/fillers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and microneedling 4 weeks prior to the HiFu treatment.
